Rebel, the second story of the Renegades (the super-hot and sexy stunt men led by Jax Chamberlin) is as Hot and delicious as you can imagine. Rebel brings together Wes Lawson and Rubi Russo, two close friends with the potential for much more. But one is afraid to take the next step, while the other is raring to go.
Rubi has been working with the Renegades to develop computer applications for their stunts. Over the last few months she has gotten closer to the team, especially Wes. They have developed a really great friendship, really becoming best friends. Because of her horrible relationship with her father she does have relationships with guys. She prefers to have one night with them. Wes is the one guy that she is really tempted to break her no dating rule. Rubi knows things will be different with Wes and she is scared of losing his friendship.
Wes is one of the stunt men for the renegades and really Jax’s right hand man. He has been crushing on Rubi since he spied her dropping Lexi at the airport months ago. He knows that their chemistry will be explosive and wants a relationship with her. Aware of her reluctance to have a relationship with him, he agrees to her demands though he hopes to get her to change her mind.
“I’m sorry, baby. It’s just who I am. I love everything you hide and everything you don’t. I just…love you.”
Wes and Rubi as a couple balance each other out, they play to each others strengths and weakness. In addition to that they are scorching HOT in and out of bed! Rubi is a multidimensional character. She is a successful model turned computer program. And while Rubi is a genuinely nice person that is fiercely loyal to her friends she doesn’t show many people her soft underside. Except Wes…who sees so much in Rubi. Like Rubi, Wes has many layers as well…stunt man, engineer, country boy and a loyal family man. All this comes together in a really sexy package.
I absolutely LOVED Rebel. There are so many great moments in the story I could just keep writing about it. It is definitely a must read for anyone that wants a really heartwarming story. Jax and Lexi are in the story as well and it was great to see how their relationship is progressing. Plus the addition of the other memebrs from the Renegades make for some very funny parts. I can’t wait for the next chapter in the Renegades story.
