Maverick by Anna Cruise

Kellen Handler is a superstar surfer. All he cares about is surfing…nothing else matters anymore. After a tragic accident Kellen can’t seem to care for much except surfing and he has become a public relations nightmare. His manager steps in and gets him…under duress…to agree to work with a public relations firm. Kellen is not interested in cleaning up his image…but once he meets Gina…Gina Bellori works for the public relations company hired to clean up Kellen’s image. Gina does not want to be around the surfing world. She left that part of her life behind years ago.

Wow…talk about two wounded souls. Gina…god I really feel for her. What happened with her family and her boyfriend is just tragic. I can totally understand her reasoning for not wanting to be around the beach and all the memories that it brings. Gina is a great character because she moves past her fears and reservations to work with Kellen. She is a strong woman that and takes none of Kellen’s bullshit. I loved that she could stand up to him. Kellen…is such a mess. I really feel bad for him…sort of. He choose to be a jerk. He needs Gina to kick his ass and get out of the funk he is in. Together Kellen and Gina are really HOT! They both move past their grief and learn to live again.
