Drawn Together by Lauren Dane

Drawn Together is Raven’s story. Oh…Raven…I misjudged you.  I am a huge Brown Family fan and I love all the books in the series. As I read each book Raven was there sometimes in the background, other times right in the middle of things. And…to be honest I never really liked her. Even though I was not really a fan of Raven’s I still wanted to read her story.  With that said…I will admit that I was so wrong about Raven and am so glad she has gotten her time in the spotlight.

Raven is a very big personality. She is a beautiful woman with some pretty deep scars. Raven is also guarded, opinionated, brutally honest and sometimes a bitch (. These qualities don’t make for an easy person to get to know (or like). Raven has always kept everyone at arm’s length (except Erin and the Brown family). The majority of her time is spent traveling not really staying in one place for very long. Things have changed recently and Raven has begun to put down roots while staying in Seattle longer. Meeting Jonah changes things even more for Raven. He wants more from her than any man (or women) has ever asked. He makes demands on her. Like her No-monogamy rule, he wants her to agree to be with just him.

Mmmm, Jonah Warner is delicious. He is quite the package. Successful attorney, hot body with some rockin tattoos!  To quote Raven’s description of him; “He was on fire sexy. Like Panties on Fire”. From the moment he meets Raven he is drawn to her beauty and attitude. While he initially wants a tattoo from her he soon comes to realize that he wants a whole lot more. And what Jonah wants from Raven won’t be easy to get. As Raven and Jonah continue to explore their relationship Raven’s past comes back in a big way.

Drawn Together sucked me in front the first few paragraphs. Rarely does a book grab my attention so quickly AND doesn’t let go throughout the entire story. Raven and Jonah have some seriously hot chemistry. From the moment she kneels at his feet…damn..I was hooked!!

One of the best things about Jonah (besides his hotness) is that he loves Raven for who she is, snarkiness and all! He doesn’t want to change her. Jonah also fits Raven very well because he pushes back when she digs her heals (like her no-monogamy rule). Raven has never been with a man that wanted more than some good sex. Jonah wants it all.

I really loved that I was able to see a completely different side of Raven that the one in previous stories.  Because she has begun to put down roots in Seattle she has been able to develop friendships with other people. While she has been closest to Erin, you can see now that she is truly part of the Brown Family (and their extended friends).  And she’s great with kids, who knew! Raven truly shines in Drawn Together. She finally can put her past behind her and grab a future with Jonah.

“You fill parts of me I never thought would stop hurting. I love you, Jonah”

There is so much more to this story than what I have stated and while I could go on I think the best thing to do is pick up the book and read it. I have read almost all of Lauren Dane’s books and I am never disappointed. Drawn Together is another smash hit! I truly think it’s one of her best books yet!!! It’s a must read!

Beauty is more than skin-deep…

Tattoo artist Raven Smith is blunt and hard, broken and jaded, dark and beautiful. While she doesn’t hide her painful past, she does keep a wall around her heart. She’s free sexually—but no one gets to the real Raven beneath the prickly exterior. With a voice like smoke, Jonah Warner is a smooth-talking, highly successful attorney, with a body that should never be hidden by a suit. He’s the kind of man who never takes no for an answer and always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Raven. She’s a survivor, and he finds that incredibly alluring. Jonah gets under her skin in a way Raven has never experienced. He makes her break all her rules—including her no-monogamy rule. But when a figure from Raven’s past shows up at the tattoo parlor and drops a bomb into her life, their relationship will face the ultimate challenge…
