Trinity (Cascadia Wolves Book 6 and de La Vega Cats) By Lauren Dane
Trinity introduces us to the world of the de La Vega Cats and continues with the Jack Meyers from the National Pack (from the Cascadia Wolves series). Renee is involved with Galen de La Vega who is a jaguar shifter. They have been together for several years and Renee is seen as his mate in the eyes of his jamboree. Both Galen and Renee realize that something is about to change, but neither realizes that it will be their relationship. Things get spiced up when Renee literally runs into Jack Meyers outside her work. Jack realizes that she is his mate and begins to pursue her.
Renee runs a smoothie/coffee bar at a magic shop in Boston. She is somewhat reluctant to believe that she has any magical powers. Renee is a very likeable character. I thought she was sweet but sometimes a little bit too sweet. When she met Grace Warden I was glad that she finally stood up for herself. Galen is a lawyer and definitely man candy. I think his character is a great fit for Renee. You can tell that they have a great relationship and they are really solid as a couple.
When Jack is introduced he changes the dynamics of Renee and Galen’s relationship and they become a trio. I loved Jack from the Cascadia Wolves books and was glad that he finally received his own story. Once he realized that Renee was his mate he went after her with ruthless determination. I loved the interaction between Renee, Galen and Jack. The scenes between the three of them were fabulous.
It was great to see some of the characters from the Cascadia Wolves series that I have come to love. It’s always nice when an author brings back characters from previous series. I really liked the way that the author has started this new series and it will be great to read as the story continues.
On a side note, I would have loved to see how Renee and Galen were together. I know the author goes over it a little bit, but I would have liked a little more.
